[edit] Biographical Information

Pitcher Ryan Anderson was selected by the Seattle Mariners in the first round of the 1997 amateur draft. In the 1996 World Junior Championship, Anderson had a 5.40 ERA for the USA, walking 4 batters in 3 1/3 IP but striking out five and allowing only one hit. In the 1999 Pan American Games, he pitched 7 innings without allowing an earned run and went 1-0 to help the US win a silver medal and qualify for the 2000 Olympics.
